MOLDOVEANCA – 4
Moldoveanca 4 is a variety, which is part of the group with early maturity, it blooms 7-8 days earlier than the variety Alba 7. The height of the plants in this variety is 57.1 cm and the diameter of the plants is 84.4 cm. This variety forms about 506 flower stalks per plant. The inflorescences have a compact shape, the tubular calyx is green-violet, and the corolla is dark purple.
The potential of the clone variety is 5.1 – 8.7 t/ha raw material, volatile oil content – 3.903% – 4.491% (s.u.); essential oil production from 81.2 to 178.7 kg/ha. The Moldoveanca 4 variety has a high resistance to drought, winter and frost compared to the control variety C – 90. The destination of the variety is the production of essential oil and pharmaceutical raw material. It is a good variety for cultivation and mechanized harvesting, as well as for industrial processing.

The Moldoveanca 4 variety is protected by Plant Variety Patent number MD 73 of 31.07.2010, granted by the State Agency for Intellectual Property.
2022
Under the conditions of production of the Moldoveanca 4 variety, in the summer of 2022, on the plantation of the 2nd year, the planting scheme of 1.5 x 0.3 m, a harvest of inflorescences of __ tons was obtained, from which ___ were extracted kg of essential oil. The productivity of essential oil relative to one ton of green mass of inflorescences was __ kg oil (1._%). The results of the chemical analysis of the obtained essential oil is shown in the image on the right, in tabular form.
2020
Under the conditions of production of the Moldoveanca 4 variety, in the summer of 2020, on the “TRIMEXPO” S.A. plantation, a harvest of 26 tons of inflorescences was obtained from which 300 kg of essential oil were extracted. The productivity of essential oil relative to one ton of green mass of inflorescences was 11.53 kg of oil (1.153%).
