In 1994, the Chishinovscaia – 90 variety was approved in the Republic of Moldova, which was created by the method of individual selection from the generative descendants of the Voznesensk – 34 variety. The authors of the variety are: Dr. Murin Anatolii and scientific researchers Buiucli Svetlana, Popova Svetlana. The variety is late, with the vegetation period until the technical ripening of the raw material of 95-100 days, it is characterized by vigorous plants, with a well-developed root system. The height of the plants is 54.6 cm, and the diameter of the plants – 89.6 cm. The flowers of this variety are light blue. The duration of the flowering phase is relatively short and constitutes 8-9 days. The production of fresh raw material for the mentioned variety during the years 2007-2013 is 51.4 q/ha. The essential oil content in the raw material is 2.708% (s.u.). The C-90 variety shows increased resistance to drought and low temperatures in winter, resistant to septoriosis. The exploitation period of the plantation is 9-10 years, which can be extended by another 3-4 years by rejuvenating the plants. It is adapted for mechanized harvesting of raw material.
